A Few Nice Words

"Danny's Academy was really constructive. It's impressive to have the hours fly by so quickly! Danny was really funny, which made the writing come a lot easier."

- Colin Browne, Student at the University of Pennsylvania

"Danny's Academy was a lifesaver. Danny made this whole process so much less stressful. I was applying to a very specific program at NYU, and he had a real understanding of what I would need to accomplish. Danny was honest with me about my goals and upfront about what was expected. The workshop itself was great because when I had doubts about what I was doing, Danny was always available with words of encouragement."

- Willa Polstein, Student at NYU's Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music
"I can't tell you how much Danny helped me with my essays. I honestly had no idea how to start, and they really helped me come up with ideas and refine my writing. I got so much done and all before I went back to school."

- Jackson Shire, Student at Dartmouth University
"The Academy was amazingly helpful. I loved how practical it was. We learned so much about the essays, interviews, and how to write emails to admission reps! Overall, I feel so much more confident about going into senior year."

- Neecki Zand, Student at the University of California Berkeley
"This has been as helpful as anything could be. Being forced to do work, I worked. It also helped that Danny was there the entire time for questions throughout. The group size was perfect."

- Dylan Norris, Student at the University of Michigan

"Working with Danny was definitely one of the best decisions my family and I made, and I am so grateful for his advice. Throughout the whole college process, when everyone was stressing about getting apps in, I never felt any because I turned everything in waaaay before the deadline. Danny really made the my dreams, and the “impossible” my reality. I would’ve never gotten into my dream school without Danny’s help and guidance. If you have an opportunity to work with him, take it."

- Sofia Ziman, Student at NYU's Tisch School Photography & Imaging Program
I definitely owe Danny a big thank you. He really taught me how to think critically and separate myself from the crowd. There is a big emphasis these days on being able to 'network,' but through the lens of Danny Ruderman, I learned that simply means being genuine with the right people.

- Jacob Wasserman, Student at Tulane University
"Without Danny I wouldn’t have gotten into my dream school. Simple as that! He helped me find a program that revolves around my passion and will allow me to gain real world experience before I graduate college. Danny was incredibly helpful not only to my application and essays but also my mental health and stress throughout the process. He’s also very honest and will lay out a guided plan to get you where you want to go to school— the only thing you need to do is work for it. He will be a grounding and helpful part of your college process. Of course, ultimately you will get yourself into your dream school, but Danny will give you the tools to do exactly that and more.

FAQs

Who’s the Acceptance Academy for?
It’s for students in 9th through 12th grade who want to attend selective 4-year colleges.
Why should a family choose the Acceptance Academy over other college counseling options?
I believe the Acceptance Academy is the most efficient and effective way for students to navigate the college admissions process. Most importantly, students who attend the Academy get walked through my approach of helping students discover authentic interests and write unconventional essays that catch the attention of admissions representatives. The importance of the approach cannot be underestimated both in terms of helping reduce student anxiety and producing results.
What if my child misses a live class or part of the boot camp?
I recognize that with sports, theater, saving the whales, etc., students have incredibly busy schedules. This is why I record all classes (including the Bootcamp sessions) and make them available a day later via email. This way, anyone who either missed a session or simply wants to review the material can do so at their own pace. For the Bootcamp, I offer 2 dates in August and will also be sending out replays of each day.
Why is there only one price? Does this cover the entire program or just one year?
The $797 covers the whole enchilada. I wanted to provide the most comprehensive program for families that is also affordable. Yes, this means that an 8th or 9th grade family may utilize more of the program than an 11th grade family. However, I wanted to keep things simple, so any family would only have to pay once. Since I used to charge $5000 for the same program, I also know the value of the material and what it can do for a student—even those who might be starting right before 12th grade. As more live sessions are recorded, families will also get access to a growing library of materials that they will be able to access anytime. The truth is that I have had students take just one idea and get massive results in terms of their results and increased self-confidence, so I fully believe the cost is the best money a family could spend.
Do you offer a guarantee?
Yes. I've always backed my program with a 100% satisfaction guarantee. Here’s how it works:
If you are not satisfied with the Academy for any reason, at any time, just email me or my team, and we will issue a complete refund. I want this to be truly useful for all the participants, and I want to make it risk free to enroll.
Will students speak with or get feedback directly from Danny?
Even though the program involves a group learning experience, each month, students will be able to ask me questions live during the instruction portions of the Academy. During the bootcamp before senior year, I also check in with individual students and use lots of examples, which participants have reported to be incredibly valuable. On top of this, I hold the once a month live parent Q&A sessions and send out regular reminders via text. Therefore, while I can’t guarantee individual feedback, I designed this program to the best, affordable way to give everything a family needs to succeed in both high school and the application process.

For those who want 1-1 help on the admissions essays, I do have certified, trained coaches that I refer after the bootcamp, but the program has been designed for a student to be able to do everything with me online.
